Sports Massage is a specialized form of massage designed to assist athletes in preventing injuries, preparing the body for athletic activity, and maintaining optimal condition. It focuses on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements. This technique enhances endurance, reduces recovery time, alleviates muscle stiffness, and improves flexibility. By incorporating stretching and targeted massage, Sports Massage helps athletes at any level optimize their performance, recover faster, and protect against future injuries. Ideal for both pre and post-event therapy, it is also beneficial during training to increase an athlete's range of motion and muscle flexibility. Frequently asked questions Q: What is Sports Massage? A: A massage focused on overused and stressed muscles, to help prevent injury, prepare for activity and support recovery. Q: How long is a session and how much is it? A: Choose 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Prices range from $75 to $155 at our Etobicoke location, depending on the option you choose. Q: Is this massage covered by insurance? A: This is a relaxation massage, not an RMT treatment, so it is usually not covered by insurance. If you want to use your benefits, book an RMT massage, which we can direct bill. Q: Where is Imperial Retreat Etobicoke? A: We are at 5555 Eglinton Ave W, 2nd Floor, Suite 216-219 (Centennial Park Plaza), Etobicoke. We are open 7 days a week. Call 647-800-0600 with any questions. Q: What is the cancellation policy? A: Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, and arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to fill in the intake form.
Cancellation Policy
Late arrivals: We respectfully request that you arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to allow time to fill out any required intake forms and answer any intake questions the therapist may have. When booking services at Imperial Retreat, your appointment is scheduled with a therapist, whose time is allocated exclusively for your scheduled treatment. If you know you will be a few minutes late, please call us ahead of time so we can do our best to try and accommodate you. Cancellation and Rescheduling: At Imperial Retreat, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may require you to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Our goal is to provide the best possible service while managing our schedule efficiently to benefit all our guests. 24 Hours’ Notice: No charge. We kindly request that you provide us with at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Rescheduling: Rescheduling must be done with at least 24 hours’ notice. We reserve the right to change our appointment policy at any time. If you are not satisfied with our services, please let us know within 24 hours after the service. We will not be responsible for any problems after 24 hours. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. This policy helps us ensure that we can accommodate the needs of all our guests and continue providing the quality service you expect and deserve. We reserve the right to refuse service to any guest.
